Patrick is the founder and COO of Oregon Directions, LLC.  He has been a counselor since 2014.  He has years of helpful and enlightened experience as a practicing lawyer for 22 years and as a military pilot with 21 years of service, including 2 combat tours in Vietnam and Bosnia.  He has clearly learned valuable lessors that help begin each new day with an open and eager anticipation of exciting things to come.  Patrick has the tools, education, training, and experience to help others achieve their hopes and dreams and become ready, empowered, and on a positive path to change, to grow, and to become the person each has always wanted to be.

Chris and his father, Patrick Hyland, started Oregon Directions, LLC in 2021. In 2023, Chris transitioned from part-time to full-time and took over the CEO role. Chris is new to the counseling industry, and has worked in technology for over 30 years. He has worked for large corporations (e.g. Microsoft), medium size companies (e.g. Ancestry.com), and small 3-person start-up companies (e.g. Control4). All of these companies have been across a wide range of industries. He is an engineer by trade but has spent the last 20 years in management, and the last 10 years in executive management. He's excited for the opportunity to bring a wide-range of skills and knowlege to this amazing team here at Oregon Directions.

I am passionate about helping others in any way I can and I enjoy talking to and meeting new people! I have over 10 years of experience in different medical settings - from working in a toxicology and pharmacogenetics laboratory in Orange County, CA to working at Willamette Valley Cancer Institute in Eugene, OR. I value doing all I can to go above and beyond to make patients feel seen, comfortable, and to get their questions answered.

I have moved over 20 times in a 20 year span, but have found that Oregon is an incredible place to call home. In my free time, I enjoy spending my time outside with my husband and our two dogs, Cora and Luna. I love to workout and am constantly finding myself doing research on nutritional information and new ways to grow in my journey of becoming the healthiest version of myself.

Leslie Hyland, Operations Coordinator, at Oregon Directions, holds a Master's Degree in Special Education. She has recently retired from 34 years of teaching students K-12 in the classroom setting, gifted and talented students and preschool children with disabilities.  Leslie feels that her special talent is effectively collaborating with parents working as a team to best support students in their learning journey.

She brings over 30 years of experience working with students, parents and administration to her present job, helping and coordinating clients, counselors and administrative staff at Oregon Directions to work together for effective and efficient office operations. Her new role as Operations Coordinator, which is a multi-faceted position, she tracks office expenses, supports office staff and overseas office operations.
