I have a passion for providing high quality therapy and helping others to achieve their goals in life. My approach involves client-centered, strengths based, and evidence based treatment. I primarily utilize CBT, DBT, and Motivational Interviewing. I have been trained in other modalities as well and believe in personalizing the approach depending on what works best for you. I believe that therapy is a collaborative process. You are the expert on your own experience and I am here to work with you to achieve whatever you want most out of life. I have many years of experience working with a wide variety of people from different ages, cultures and backgrounds. I have worked with individuals with anxiety, depression, mania, trauma, psychosis, grief, substance use, autism, and ADHD. I recognize the courage it takes to be vulnerable and seek therapy. I consider it an honor and a privilege to be with you in these challenging times. I look forward to meeting and working with you!
Are you overwhelmed by negative self-talk? Maybe you feel that no matter how hard you try, you somehow seem to miss the mark you set for yourself. Are you struggling with a sense of overwhelming anxiety, and your usual methods of coping are just not working anymore? Perhaps you've been hesitant to seek professional advice because you had a bad experience with a therapist, or you simply dislike labels. I am here to lend a hand. I strive to practice in a way that is most comfortable for my clients. For some, a diagnosis feels like validation; for others, it's a prison. I am happy to provide the service that best suits your needs.
I believe that good therapy is collaborative and non-authoritative. As a queer individual from the south, I am confident in my ability to provide meaningful services and support in LGBTQ matters. I also specialize in neurodivergent issues. My approach draws from mindfulness, meditation, somatic therapy, spiritual guidance, and solution-focused therapy.
I understand that reaching out can be daunting. I am here to be a resource for you on your journey. Together, we will explore your inner truth and discover your authentic, wonderful self. Thank you for taking the first step to reach out, and I look forward to working with you.
I provide bilingual services in Spanish and English (English introduction below).

Well, here we are, most of us are recovering from a global pandemic, monkeypox, and now we must worry whether our children will be safe in their schools and whether to return to work or work from home. The decisions we must make for ourselves and our families can be difficult and sometimes that can be very overwhelming. Life can be stressful; I know firsthand what it’s like to suffer and make sacrifices I wasn’t ready for. I too have issues; I would be lying to you if I told you otherwise. Sometimes it can feel as if we have no one to talk to and nobody who cares. Well, that’s not true, I care, and we can face life's issues together. You don’t have to face this alone.
I possess over 25 years of experience in working with an array of mental health disorders; anxiety, depression, PTSD, Bipolar Disorder, Schizophrenia, Traumatic Brain Injuries, Human Trafficking victims and survivors of physical, sexual, and emotional abuse as well as grief and loss and have guided people of different nationalities, children, adolescents, young adults as well as with older adults.
I believe in providing a person-centered approach in which your own life experiences and beliefs are acknowledged and respected. Your priority is my priority as you are in essence the expert in your life. I will guide you and help you through any obstacles you are facing, and we will face them together.

I received my Bachelor's in Social Work and Master's in Social Work from George Fox University. I am currently under the supervision of Cindy Nesiba as I work towards becoming a Licensed Clinical Social Worker.
I work primarily with children and teens struggling with a variety of mental health and behavioral concerns looking to understand the impact of their experiences. I approach care from attachment and family systems theory lenses, primarily utilizing motivational interviewing, psychoeducation, cognitive behavioral therapy, play therapy, and include family in treatment to best support the youth. I value working alongside parents in gaining knowledge and skills to cultivate growth with their child. While I understand it is not always the child's decision to engage in therapy, I work to build relationships with my clients to provide them a safe space to express their needs. It is important to me that LGBTQ+ and other marginalized populations feel safe and advocated for in their care.
Congrats on making your mental health a priority! I see counseling as an opportunity for self-exploration and growth. I am passionate about helping my clients gain a better understanding of their story and how their previous experiences in life are influencing their present. I strive to create a safe environment for my clients, one in which they feel heard and understood with no judgment. I have had the pleasure of working with individuals from all different ages, cultures, backgrounds, and cognitive/developmental levels.
I am here to meet you where you are at, and help you meet your goals.

I am honored to walk alongside people as they take steps along the courageous journey towards healing through therapy. I believe in empowering my client's to recognize their strengths and work to push them towards becoming the best versions of themselves.
I seek to create a safe space for client's to feel accepted and understood. My experience in various clinical settings has allowed me the honor to work with people from all walks of life and to learn from them. I seek to continually educate myself on the impact I have on society as an educated white woman.
